hampton bay Gazebo
The issue with patio gazebo covers is that they don’t always offer adequate protection against the elements, especially when those elements are rain, cold or wind. A fabric gazebo can be extremely diverse, and can cater to just about any need. From children’s sleepovers, to formal garden parties, to outdoor market stalls, they can cover just about any situation. A fabric gazebo is often made in a huge variety of sizes, shapes and out of many different materials.
Gazebo Cover Materials
Gazebo covers are commonly made out of canvas, or another type of tensioned, waterproof material. Some cover the roof some just enclose the walls. My Hampton Bay gazebo is a free standing structure, which can often be set up, moved and/or packed down quickly. Garden gazebos are often left in situ, and made out of steel or timber. They usually require only minimal maintenance.
Gazebos are often built as part of a decorative plan for a garden or yard, but primarily, their role is functional. Sometimes, they need a couple of customizations to make them complete. If you didn’t go out and buy an enclosed, waterproof gazebo, you may want to look at buying a gazebo cover for it. The main reason you need one is to ensure that gazebo lasts for longer, and you can use it all year round.
If your gazebo is made from steel (iron or aluminium), a gazebo cover will shield it from sun in summer, to prevent it from getting too hot, and in wet weather from rusting before its time. If you gazebo is made from vinyl or canvas, the roof probably was not made to be left outside year round. If you choose to do this, you may need a cover for it.
It is extremely easy now to find a quality fabric gazebo cover, as the internet has such a wide variety or choice. You need know what size you gazebo is, and have an understanding of the size standards and shapes. If you have left a gazebo cover on for a number of years, you may find that you need replacement gazebo covers. You can choose to either buy or make these.
How to measure your Hampton Bay gazebo for a Gazebo Cover
Depending on the shape this will vary. Basically you need to know the length, width and height of the gazebo, and if there are any variations (for example if the middle of the roof is higher than the outside.
Usually the cover will just go over the outside, but some covers can be bought which are just walls, and attach to the outside of the gazebo (for those that already have a roof.
Maintaining Gazebo Covers
You may find that your Gazebo canopy develops dark stains from being outdoors. It’s usually simple to clean this off (depending on the material you are working with).
Using detergent, fill a bucket with warm water,
Using a soft haired brush, dip in the bucket and rub over canvas until the marks disappear.
Allow to dry when the canvas is completely clean.
